Christ Fellowship Today: Don't stay at home this Good Friday
Hi, I’m Scott Terry at Christ Fellowship Today wishing you a Happy Easter.
Jesus was crucified though He was innocent. Two other criminals were put to death with him. They were not innocent. In fact they were both guilty of murder; taking life that God alone gives.
The first criminal added to His guilt by mocking and cursing Jesus. Can you imagine, justly nailed to a cross for His crime, this man’s last efforts were to rebel against God. But the second criminal rebuked the first saying, “Don’t you fear God? We are suffering justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our deeds; but Jesus has done nothing wrong.” Then the second criminal asked Jesus to remember him when Jesus came into His kingdom.
Why would Jesus bring a murderer into His righteous kingdom? And if He wanted to, how? How can Jesus set a sinner free and remain just and righteous? It was then that darkness fell over the whole land.
“Do you not know? Have you not heard?” Jesus pays the debt of sin for those who believe in Him. He remembers His own and they shall live forever in paradise with Him. Come celebrate the atoning death of Jesus at Christ Fellowship Church this Good Friday evening at 7:00pm. And come celebrate His resurrection unto life this Resurrection Sunday at 10:00am. And have a Happy Easter!
